What plotholes is
A free, crowd-sourced map of road defects. You flag holes on rides you've done; when enough distinct riders flag the same spot, it's confirmed on the public map. It's a community tool, not an emergency service — don't rely on it for safety-critical decisions.
Your contributions
Only flag holes from rides you actually rode and have the right to share. By turning on contribution, you grant us a licence to include your flagged points — anonymised and aggregated — in the public map and in road-defect datasets we may provide to local authorities and similar bodies. We never publish your raw route or identify you.
Fair use
Don't submit fake, automated, or malicious data, and don't try to scrape or game the confirmation system. We may remove data or accounts that abuse the map.
No warranty
plotholes is provided “as is”, without warranty. The map reflects what riders report; it may be incomplete or out of date, and we're not liable for decisions made from it.
Changes
We may update these terms and will note the date above. Continuing to use plotholes means you accept the current version.
